Larry David
I pick Larry David because I am a huge fan of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He is the one who came up with the ideas of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Larry David appeared in the New York Times newspaper in 201o and talked about the current tax cuts. New York Times were delighted to see Larry David in the newspaper. He also appeared in the Inferno Newspaper and his friend David Brezic wrote about their delighted trip to Mongolia. Curb Your Enthusiam became the second funniest and popular show in HBO losing to the show Real Time with Bill Mahr. He also appeared in the Seattle Newspaper and his friend Jeff Garlin talked about Larry David's achievements.
Lawrence Gene "Larry" David was born on July 2, 1947. He born to a Jewish family in the neighborhood of Sheepshead in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School and then the University of Maryland. After college, David was enlisted in the Army National Guard. He lived in Manhattan Plaza right across from Kenny Kramer, the inspiration for the character of Cosmo Kramer. He became a writer and cast member of ABC's Fridays from 1980 t0 1982. He was also a writer for NBC's Saturday Night Live from 1984 to 1985. During his time at the SNL, he was able to get only one sketch on the show. David quit his job at SNL midseason. This event inspired a second season episode of Seinfeld "The Revenge". He met his future Seinfeld Stars. He worked with Michael Richards (Kramer) on Fridays and worked with Julia Louis - Dreyfus on SNL. In 1989, David teamed up with comedian Jerry Seinfeld in NBC to create series called the Seinfeld Chronicles which later became Seinfeld. He was the primary inspiration for the show's character George Costanza. David left Seinfeld after the seventh season but returned to write the series finale in 1998. He wrote 62 of the episodes of Seinfeld.
The HBO television channel aired Larry David's 1 hour special: Curb Your Enthusiasm which was made on October 17, 1999. It aired its first episode on October 15, 2000. This show revisits many of the themes of Seinfeld. David has also been involved in other films and television series. He wrote and directed the 1998 film Sour Grapes. He also appeared in two Wood Allen films: Radio Days and New York Stories. During the 2008 US Presidential Election, David supported and campaigned for Barack Obama.
The type of comedy Larry does is improvisational comedy, observational comedy and sketch comedy. Improvisational comedy is a form of performance art that shows humor. It is generally into two categories: shortform and longform. Shortform consists of short scenes that are constructed from a predetermined game, structure or idea. Longform creates shows in which short scenes are oftern interrelated by story, characters or themes. Observational comedy is a style of humor based on making remarks about commonplace aspects of everyday life. A sketch comedy consists of a series of short comedy scenees called "sketches", commonly between one and ten minutes long.
